April is my favorite month! It is Autism Awareness Month, Occupational Therapy Month and it was during April about 20 yrs ago as a young OT, I was fortunate enough to each lunch with Temple Grandin and Stanley Greenspan during a conference that my facility was hosting. It was a small group for lunch and talking to these two giants in the Autism world was such a powerful and impactful experience in my career. I have since been so fortunate to have worked with so many amazing children with autism and their families and cannot thank them enough for sharing with me their love and all of their wonderful abilities!
